DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make education more affordable by reducing or 
 eliminating commercial textbook costs for students. Hear from colleagues 
 who have adopted\, adapted\, and created alternatives to traditional 
 textbooks\, including Open Educational Resources. This event is free.  
 \n\nThe schedule (below) includes guest speakers from Kennesaw State 
 University\, Dr. Tamara Powell\, Professor of English and Dr. Jeanne 
 Beatrix Law\, Professor of English and Director of Composition who will 
 present "OERs and AI: Supporting Faculty and Students in the Evolving 
 Educational Landscape." The schedule also includes a panel of students who 
 will share their experiences with textbooks during their time here at Kent 
 State.\n\nA remote attendance option via Teams is indicated below. Sessions 
 will be recorded.\n\nDrawings for door prizes will take place throughout 
 the event. Winners must be present in person.
